Q.) What is Restaurant.com? 
A.) Restaurant.com is the trusted and valued source connecting diners, restaurants, businesses and communities since 1999. The company offers savings at thousands of restaurants nationwide with more than 45,000 gift certificate options. The Restaurant.com Independent Consultant program offers thousands of self-employment opportunities to individuals that want to earn money while helping Restaurant.com expand to more restaurants, businesses and communities nationwide. To date, Restaurant.com customers have saved more than $500 million through the gift certificate program, filling more than 5.5 million tables annually. Restaurant.com is a pioneer in the restaurant deal space and is headquartered in Arlington Heights, IL.
Q.) What is an Independent Consultant (IC)? 
A.) An Independent Consultant is a self-starter who registers with Restaurant.com to start his or her own business.  Independent Consultants earn commission for selling bulk order Restaurant.com Gift Cards to businesses for use as promotional tools, and from certificate sales from restaurants and businesses they sign up for the Restaurant.com program.
Q.) What is the difference between an Independent Consultant (IC) and Independent Consultant Manager (ICM)? 
A.) In addition to all the commission opportunities of being an IC, ICMs also recruit ICs and ICMS for their business team and can earn commission on their team’s net sales, as well as commission on their own sales.  
Q.) What can Independent Consultants and Independent Consultant Managers sell? 
A.) Independent Consultants and Independent Consultant Managers earn money in three ways: through restaurants signed up for the Restaurant.com program, businesses signed up for the Double Deals program and bulk sales of Restaurant.com gift certificates to businesses for use as promotional tools.  Independent Consultants and Independent Consultant Managers do not sell Restaurant.com products to customers directly.  
Q.) How do Independent Consultant/Independent Consultant Managers get paid?  
A.)Independent Consultants and Independent Consultant Managers will receive their commission on a monthly basis. Restaurant.com encourages Independent Consultants to sign up for ACH in order to receive their payments via direct deposit.  A check also can be issued and mailed with a $3 shipping and handling fee applied.
Q.) Is there a cost to become an Independent Consultant or Independent Consultant Manager?  
A.) Yes.  There is a sign-up fee of $89 to become an Independent Consultant, and an additional $40 (or a total of $129) to become an Independent Consultant Manager.  ICs can upgrade to become an ICM at any time by calling the IC Support Team at 1-888-604-0305.
Q.)What if I change my mind about being an Independent Consultant?  
A.)If you change your mind and contact us by email or postal mail within the first seven days of activation as an Independent Consultant or Independent Consultant Manager, Restaurant.com will refund your registration fee. 
Q.)How are commission payments structured? 
A.)You will be paid for any business conducted in the current month on the 15th of the following month. You will also receive ongoing commission payments from certificate sales of restaurants you signed up for the program and Double Deals vouchers used at businesses you signed up for the program.
Q.) Do I need to renew my business each year? 
A.)The cost is a one-time fee for Independent Consultants and Independent Consultant Managers who produce business at least once every 
six months.  If at any time you post no business for a period of six consecutive months, you will 

become inactive and must pay the registration fee again to reactivate.




Q.) Is there a limit to how much money I can make? 
There is no limit to how much money you can 
make.  Full-time Restaurant.com Sales Associates can make between $50,000 and $500,000 per 
year.

Q.) How many hours a week do I need to work? 
A.) As an Independent Consultant, you make your 
own schedule.  You can work as many hours as you want, and there is no minimum 
requirement.



Q.)Do I report to anyone at Restaurant.com? 
A.)As an Independent Consultant, you are an 
independent contractor and report only to yourself.  It’s YOUR business and YOU are your own 
boss.



Q.)Do I need to attend a formal training session before I can talk with businesses and 
restaurants? 


A.) There is no formal training required to become an Independent Consultant, but 
we require that you read all training materials and program Terms and Conditions to ensure 
you are familiar with the program and products.  We also provide Independent Consultants 
with a series of training videos available at: sales.restaurant.com, weekly conference calls and a 
weekly newsletter.


Q) Do I need previous sales experience to be an Independent Consultant?
A.) No previous sales 
experience is required to be an Independent Consultant.  If you enjoy eating at restaurants, 
know local businesses and like talking to people, you can succeed in this program.
